I entered the University of Florida in 2005 and majored in Mechanical Engineering. Though I was getting my degree with the College of Engineering, I spent most of my spare time in the College of Music. From my first semester, I started to study organ under the direction of Dr. Laura Ellis. Being around such fascinating instruments, I took it upon myself to do some research into the three pipe organ the university owned. I found some great information in the university archives as well as information gathered from the former professor of organ at the university.

From there, I continued my research to all the other pipe organs within the various church's in the area. With the help from each music director/organist, I started piecing together the history for each instrument. Why you might ask? To be honest, mere curiosity.

I left the University of Florida in 2009 and transferred to St. John Vianney College Seminary. This would have been the last organ that I've done this "historical research" hobby. However, I have never really compiled it until now. Please, look under the Organ Research tab at the top and take a second to read about these very interesting organs.
